Know what you want from a content management system
Before you start shopping for a content management system, make sure you know exactly what you want and that everybody’s on the same page with it. How big is this site going to be? How much content will be on it, and how often do you plan to update it? Are you interested in a pay-per-view service, a subscription service or an advertisement-funded service? You should not only know this, but what a content management system can do, so you have reasonable expectations.
